Bet you didn't know Salads are killing Americans. It's all about the dressing. Check out Condiments and Culinary Staples, page 105, and prepare to be enlightened.

The Journey

Taking responsibility for one's health is a great and noble task. Unfortunately there is much misinformation in the world about what is healthy and what's not. And even more unfortunate is we've all been trained to stop listening to our own bodies and look to outside sources to tell us what to eat, when to eat it and why.

We have but one desire: to arm you with the food knowledge of our ancestors and to give you encouragement to allow your body to be your guide on this healing journey. It knows the way back to health - the question is, are you ready to listen?

The Mission

To Inspire Others to Cook Honest-to-Goodness Gut Healing Foods.

The Mission

To Inspire Others to Cook Honest-to-Goodness Gut Healing Foods.

Once upon a time, in a world far, far away people ate... food. Animals were free to roam, forage and eat grass. Vegetables were grown in a rich, nutrient dense soil. Dairy products were fresh from the animal, cultured into what we now call super foods. Vegetables were prepared for the winter using the ancient techniques of fermentation. These foods were the corner stone of healthy, happy lives. Where have they gone?

Today, our world moves at warp speed, where people hardly even acknowledge the link between what we eat and our state of health - or more likely, our state of disease. It's time to get back to feeding our bodies as if it were a top priority- our future generations depend on it.

Enter the GAPS Diet: A healing, nutrient-dense culinary adventure that invites us to reclaim the food traditions of our ancestors and repair the damage we have done to our bodies. It may seem rigorous, especially coming from the Standard American Diet (SAD), but once you incorporate cooking real food into your schedule, it will all feel like second nature.

The Heal Your Gut Cookbook was created to inspire people to reclaim their health using honest-to-goodness food. This is your mission, should you choose to accept it: Heal your gut, forgo disease and live the authentic life you were made to live.
